Emma

Goal Defence

Position: GD (goal defence) although has pretty much been playing where ever - enjoying a bit of variety.

Emma only moved to Thailand in August, after finishing her A Levels and joined The Londoners netball team shortly afterwards. She is working in an International School in Bangkok as part of her gap year assisting in primary and secondary lessons, as well as being a general dogsbody!

Back home in England she played quite a lot of netball, at school and county level — playing for West Yorkshire at U14, U16 and U18 age groups, once being lucky enough to be selected for an England development weekend. Unfortunately her netball career has, until now, frustratingly suffered slightly because of different injuries she has incurred. However, she is pleased to announce that she feels that this period of twists, sprains, breaks and tears has come to an end — touch wood!

She is very much enjoying being part of The Londoners team, getting out onto the netball courts once again and joining in with team banter. She hopes that the experience of the Bangkok Netball League will give her the very best of chances of getting into a netball team at university when she returns home in September.
